The "update succesfully installed" message with the green circle checked on appears. One thing that you didn't mention was whether to leave everything off while installing the 75+ upgrades that you receive afterward. I was running IE 7 (!!!), whereas before, I was running 9, and 2., did not have Service Packs 1 and 2 installed, so I could not download IE 9!
