Went to area where one gives the machine a name and gave it my daughter's name. What I think I wanted to do was access my C drive and look for the password file. I would like to take 2000 Pro off of there and install something else. Is there a way to bypass this to get to admin options?

I wanted to check it out and see what was up with the laptop, but I get to the log in window and see that it is running on Windows 2000 It is a homemade computer sporting Windows 2000 Professional, P4 1.6GHz and 512MB RAM. I'm trying to make this old IBM Thinkpad work for me, but when it gets to the log in screen, I have no idea what any usernames or passwords are, so A case like this could easily cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.
