Visual Studio 2012 Internet Explorer Cannot Display The Webpage
I have a setup by which i access it as http//machine-name:port/appname (instead of localhost) This works smoothly until suddenly out of the blue during debugging i get "Internet Explorer cannot display I am using IE9 and Windows 7. Thanks for your reply. We are building an ASP.NET application and when running under the ASP.NET Development Server (WebDev.WebServer.exe) I would get sent to this error page, which told me nothing useful about why it check over here
by R. The only issue this had was I must run Visual Studio as an Administrator since I have User Account Control (UAC) enabled, and I don’t get Edit and Continue. If it works well in another PC, to make sure that it is not related to your VS, maybe you could try to check it with the following steps. And our rich wiki requires OneNote and that is all. If you right click and take the "view in Browser" option the page opens fine, but does not debug.

EDIT This issue stopped occurring. It was like, Page_Load event of 1st page contains code to redirect response to 2nd page and Page_Load event of 2nd page contains code to redirect response back to 1st page. Any and all suggestions are welcome! This causes Windows to default to IPv4 when resolving localhost, which will point to 127.0.0.1, which is right where Cassini - I mean the ASP.NET Web Development Server - is waiting

Seems, VS2010 ain't able to connect the localhost itself!! Now Visual Studio does not need to run as Administrator, I do not need to configure IIS, I can have Edit and Continue and multiple workspaces all running completely independently.
