It also reported funny stuff in the Connection-specific DNS Suffix.So, on a lark, I decided to change the DHCP address range in the router. If it was a DNS changing virus, would I not still be able to ping the router using the IP address?

On my PC, all those things are done already, except enabling printer sharing on the other computers even though they don't have printers attached.

Everything on the network worked great, except one of my Windows 7 laptops.
I can ping the second computer from first computer but cant ping first from second computer. The router can ping all PCs. Double check the settings with one of the computers that is working. I have power cycled my machine, the router, and the modem, to no avail.When I try to ping the router (192.168.3.1), all four requests time out. When this service was up, I could not get to the default gateway or any where else. How To Ping Dhcp Server System restore is turned off due to limited SSD storage, so that's not an option.
The one with the printer, however, does not have the others listed and the others still can't access that shared printer. I do have access to the internet and am able to print with Ubuntu. Using the arp -a command, I can confirm it's even able to resolve the default gateway mac address when connected to the wifi network.
I get the USB adapter on Tuesday, will let you know how I get on. I await a USB Wireless adapter to try that.
