Essentially, they have disabled a function that many Windows users have come to depend upon without supplying any reasonable way to re-enable it. Expand the "Guest or Public" profile and make sure that Turn off network discovery and Turn off file and printer sharing are selected. There was obviously some issues. Thanks a lot!

We have a Win2k server, no domain, shared folder all full control- and 3 other W7HP 64bit machines that access the share without issue. That did not solve the problem. Once I changed the time I was able to connect with no problems. Don't include the quotation marks.
