up vote 4 down vote favorite 3 My question is what settings do I need to change and/or commands to run to allow me to log into my vsftpd system? That messed things up, so I redid all the users, and redid the entire ftp configuration, using (as far as I know), the exact same steps as before, and I can If it doesn't, fix that and then move onto the next solution if you're still having problems. Turn on log_ftp_protocol just in case and also look in /var/log/messages for any ftp error messages.
